As the Lead Brand Designer, the main goal was to redefine and focus brand identity.

The organization initially reached out to me looking to consult on increasing their accessibility and credibility within the citizen science niche.

After several rounds of collaboration with the respective teams, we were able to reach a brand identity and redesign that everyone was satisfied with.

BACKGROUND

Seed LA is dedicated to increasing the availability of locally adapted native seeds to conserve and enhance ecological diversity of the greater Los Angeles area.

THE PROCESS

This job required many components of design from:

  • logo redesign

  • color scheme setting

  • asset filming

  • website design

  • content and copy stacking

Each step was vetted with the entire team, from exploratory google polls on what the company ‘feel’ should be to target audiences.

I led several meetings to get the entire team on-board before going through several rounds of logo design and establishing a branding guide.

Once the designs and guides were finalized, I applied these to reworking the full website and optimizing pages for easy UI and concise messaging.

Alongside the website design, I created a cohesive deck of socials posts complete with scientifically accurate copy for the team to schedule and post on their social channels when they felt ready to launch.
